The Challenges
With over 7,000m of pipe required for the road and sewer drainage systems that make up the 350-home development, Hepworth Clay was quickly identified for the project due to its strength, durability and long-life expectancy. Geraint Dodd, buyer at Hollingsworth Brothers explains, ‘We knew this was going to be a large, 48-week project so we wanted a product we knew and trusted’.

With over 150 years’ expertise working with the material, using locally sourced raw clays and moorland rainwater, the production process of SuperSleve offers an impressive environmental profile.This project opted to use a range of Hepworth Clay products from 150mm to 300mm diameter pipes. The product was supplied by specialist civils and drainage merchants, Keyline.
