Revit allows you to draw bends at practically any angle, whereas the unique Revit families available in our BIM Centre will only allow you to draw bends in angles that exist in our product portfolio, saving you time and hassle later on in your project.
For example, trying to draw a 60-degree bend will not be permitted by the system, unless it is available in the portfolio of that product range, whilst doing the same for a 45-degree bend will.
We have also allowed for a 3-degree tolerance in the bends to enable slopes. This reflects the real-world situation with our fittings. For example, a 45-degree bend can be drawn between 42 degrees and 48 degrees, as seen below. This is available on all bends.
Our Revit packages equip their families with a full set of dimensional data, identity data and functions, such as the one to reverse the direction of the pipe fitting, or the one to enable or disable the pipe coupler. These functions allow very accurate bills of materials, robust clash detection and many other advantages for a BIM project.
Plus, a 90-degree bend can easily be changed into an assembly of two 45-degree bends.
Our Revit content is so accurate that it allows a 1:1 transition of the 3D model into a real build, helping you to arrive at an ‘as built’ pipe design in the quickest and easiest way.
