It was a fantastic night for Wavin Ireland at the recent Irish Construction Excellence Awards, where Wavin AquaCell NG was named winner of the Construction Product Innovation Award.
The award was presented at the gala event in Dublin’s Convention Centre, bringing together leading names from across Ireland’s construction sector to recognise excellence, innovation and impact.
For Wavin Ireland, the win is a proud moment and a strong endorsement of a product designed to solve real challenges on site.
Designed around the needs of contractors
AquaCell NG is Wavin’s next-generation stormwater attenuation and infiltration system. Developed to support contractors, engineers and project teams in managing rainwater more efficiently, it also makes installation simpler and more practical.
Made from 100% recycled plastic, AquaCell NG is lightweight, modular and adaptable to complex site layouts, including tight or constrained urban locations. Its nested, stackable design allows four times more units to be transported per delivery and requires four times less storage space on site, helping to reduce transport requirements, site congestion and carbon impact. The system can reduce the carbon footprint associated with delivery and storage by up to 75%, while also delivering significant cost and logistical benefits.
With modern construction demands in mind, AquaCell NG has been independently tested and certified, offering a major advance in the speed and efficiency of attenuation tank construction. Push-fit connections and a tool-free build make the system up to three times faster to install than previous generations of AquaCell, while maintaining the same volume capacity
Since launching in Ireland, AquaCell NG has received excellent feedback from customers, particularly for the practical benefits it delivers during installation and its suitability for complex site conditions.
Recognition for innovation and practical support
Winning the Construction Product Innovation Award is a significant achievement for Wavin Ireland, particularly in such a competitive category.
As a company that prides itself on innovation, technical expertise and practical support for customers, the award reflects Wavin’s continued commitment to developing solutions that help the construction industry work more efficiently and sustainably.
