Un edificio sostenible no sólo se adapta a su finalidad, sino que también mantiene la armonía entre la estructura y el entorno, al tiempo que proporciona una experiencia de usuario de primera categoría.   ## Según Torralba, la construcción sostenible presenta una gran cantidad de ventajas: 1. Reduce la contaminación del entorno mediante la aplicación de técnicas y estrategias de sostenibilidad. Además, disminuye las emisiones de CO2, aumenta la biodiversidad y se utilizan materiales con mínimo impacto medioambiental. 2. Centradas en proporcionar iluminación natural, regulación térmica adecuada, aire de calidad y accesibilidad para las personas que los utilizan, estas construcciones dan prioridad al bienestar para garantizar la máxima salud a largo plazo. 3. En última instancia, estos edificios ecológicos son enérgicamente eficientes lo cual reduce costos y reduce residuos. En el sector de la construcción sostenible, es primordial introducir alternativas a materiales tradicionales como el ladrillo y el hormigón.
