Además, se planifican y gestionan los proyectos de construcción con base en la reutilización de recursos materiales y el empleo de energías renovables en la edificación reduciendo el impacto. ## **Edificios de consumo casi nulo** Para entender y desarrollar proyectos de construcción sostenible se debe afrontar los diversos retos planteados en los distintos países de la Unión Europea (UE) con el desarrollo de Edificios de Consumo Casi Nulo (EECN O Nzeb en inglés) que se recopila en la Directiva Energética de Edificios (2010/31/EC). Los EECN según la normativa europea, son construcciones con un elevado nivel de eficiencia, reducen sus demandas de energía y están cubiertas con fuentes de energía renovables. Todos los estados de la UE trabajan para que los beneficios no solo sean medioambientales, sino que impulsen el sector socioeconómico. ## **Camino a seguir para un edificio 100% sostenible** Para alcanzar esta meta en la construcción se deben tomar medidas en todas las fases del proyecto para potenciar un entorno sostenible y rentable. Por ende, se mencionan algunos beneficios de tomar decisiones correctas: ### **Materiales de construcción** Escoger materiales que generen mínimas emisiones de CO2, tanto en la fabricación como transporte y que tengan una larga vida útil empleando tecnologías digitales para el control energético. ### **Fuentes de energía renovables** ** **Puedes ahorrar con un diseño de redes energéticas renovables, disminuyendo la huella del CO2 con energías verdes y aumentando la eficiencia al producir energía más cerca de los puntos de consumo**.** ### **Abrazar la tecnología** Aplicar la innovación en una infraestructura puede reducir gastos en sistemas de ventilación, eléctrico, climatización y suministro de agua en la edificación.
