The Universal Studios theme park in Osaka, Japan, is one of the most popular destinations for tourists from across Asia. It opened in 2014 attracting 10 million guests in its first year alone. The luxury Park Front Hotel, run by the Tokyu Hotel Group, will open in summer 2015, making a great addition to the hospitality choices for visitors.

Leading Japanese pipe systems provider, Technoflex, was contracted to provide essential infrastructure to the new Park Front Hotel. With a keen eye on cost and efficiency and a complete commitment to longterm performance and sustainability, Technoflex were immediately attracted to Wavin products.

The hotel sprinkler system runs through the entire site, and Technoflex decided on a combination of Wavin MLCP (multi-layer composite pipe) and its associated smartFIX fittings for the job.

Technoflex and Wavin MLCP gave us exactly what we needed in terms of both resilience and ease-of-installation.

With a complete catalogue of T-junctions, elbows and couplers along with a full range of pipe diameters, the Wavin MLCP pipe systems are particularly suited to complex installations.

Using a standard set of ergonomically advanced cutting and joining tools, installers will complete the Park Front Hotel pipe and sprinkler infrastructure on time and on budget to the highest standard – ready for the 600 room hotel’s June 2015 opening.
