We were delighted to win the Construction Product Innovation – Building Fabric Award at the Irish Construction Excellence Awards 2024 for our Wavin Tigris K5/M5 press fit plumbing system. Wavin is a company that has been long built on product innovation, so to win this extremely competitive category, with this particularly innovative product is a great acknowledgement of this.
The Wavin Tigris range features K5 fittings with a PPSU body and the Wavin Tigris M5 fittings with lead free DZR Brass to comply with the new updated EU Drinking Water Directive and which have been designed with installers and engineers in mind.
Wavin's Tigris K5/M5 ranges have also been designed with some innovative features for easy installation including:
- Fittings feature a unique Acoustic Alert with a loud whistle, indicating un-pressed fittings with air testing, opens up the benefits of air testing for contractors.
- K5 fittings incorporate a new transparent section as part of the body to give installers a quick visual check of the pipe insertion. This In4Sure 360° feature is a key to ensuring a secure and leak free installation.
- Both have Multi-Press profile feature and are compatible with U, Up, H, TH and B profiles to ensure installers do not require investment in any additional tooling.
